Advancing Agricultural Science at AgFE, IIT Kharagpur

We are a distinguished research group from the Land and Water Resources Engineering (LWRE) section, within the Agricultural and Food Engineering (AgFE) Department at **IIT Kharagpur**.

Our group combines cutting-edge technology with physical models to address pressing global issues in hydrology, irrigation, and environmental sustainability, maintaining the highest standards of scientific academic excellence at India's foremost engineering institute.

Climate Change & Hydroclimatic Extremes

Investigating long-term climate variability and extreme events such as droughts, floods, and heatwaves using statistical and AI-based techniques. The objective is to quantify impacts on water systems and agriculture.

Remote Sensing & Geospatial Analytics

Leveraging satellite observations and GIS tools to monitor land, water, and crop dynamics. This enables spatially explicit analysis of hydrological processes, evapotranspiration, and environmental change.

Data-Driven Modelling & Machine Learning
